The Black Consciousness Reader second edition follows hot on the heels of the first edition published in 2017. The edition coincided with the 40th anniversary of Steve Biko’s murder by the apartheid regime. The late Biko is well-known for spreading the liberating idea of Black Consciousness. Meanwhile, the revised latest edition of the Black Consciousness Reader has been put together by a group of well-known journalists. The second edition focuses on new elements of history, interviews and opinions about the Black Consciousness philosophy.
